The Exact Truth

When the Truth of Salvation is not followed, the Lie guides to the portals of eternal damnation.

The Exact Truth

Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus; so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught. Luke 1-4
The most unsettling facts about the Post Modern Generation, as they have been tagged by sociologists, is their seemingly overwhelming desire to base their relationships upon their human experience. And from what I am best able to understand is that they do so in almost complete denial of a Biblical World View. For this reason alone we find that the “pick and choose” method of relating to God is most popular among them. This is to say that the Truth of God’s Word is not relative to this present generation unless it neatly fits their experience.
One of the rules of clear Biblical Exposition rests upon the premise that God’s Word must be the basis of interpreting life experience and not the reverse. Unfortunately, we are witnessing the reverse of what Doctor Luke is writing in his letter to Theophilus, “so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.”
The key phrase is “so that you may know the exact truth”. And we find the foundation of all truth is not mixed into the Word of God, but rather that the foundation of all truth is God’s Word. For this reason alone we must interpret what goes on around us from the perspective of the Truth of God. We must understand that Jesus Christ is the Savior of our world in time and in place. John writes, Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6.
Our elected leadership in Washington and at other levels of Government and our leadership at the local levels must not forget that they must govern from the perspective that Jesus is Lord because He is the Author all truth. And we who pull the lever in the election booth must not forget this truth, either.
All of this truth gathering begins in the hearts and minds of individuals. That which we experience as a Nation has as a beginning place in the heart of man. We know that the Founding Fathers were men who understood that the Source of all truth comes from God and He has given us His Truth in written form.
In Daniel 9:8-10 we find this excerpt from Daniel’s prayer for God’s people, “Open shame belongs to us, O Lord, to our kings, our princes and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. To the Lord our God belongs compassion and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against Him; nor have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in His teachings which He set before us through His servants the prophets.”
May all who claim Jesus as Lord become people of prayer for the lost of our generation, and help them to find Christ as their Savior and recognize Him as Lord.
But Peter said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money! You have no part or portion in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you.” Acts 8:21-23.
Jesus is Lord
