Thinking ‘Outside the Box’ is fine so long at the ‘Box’ is kept within the Biblical World View
What Jesus Wants To Do for Us
As Jesus was approaching Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging. Now hearing a crowd going by, he began to inquire what this was. They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he called out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He questioned him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" And he said, "Lord, I want to regain my sight!" And Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God. Luke 18:35

Much discussion is taking place in our World and Nation, especially among people who hold their faith in Jesus Christ and are viewing the world from a Biblical World View. Understandably this opening statement narrows the field considerably in reference to the thought, “Much discussion is taking place”.

But let me expain….
The statutes from which the foundation of the United States emerged are not simply being attacked, but they are being changed and ignored. Christian dogma is not simply being challenged, but being ignored. The Bible is not simply being challenged, but being ignored. Christians who hold to these truths that stem from a Biblical World view are not simply being challenged, but are being ignored. What, then, is the answer for us who hold to a Biblical World View that is founded upon the Inerrancy of God’s Word? Our answer is found in Jesus Christ, the Lord of all of Life.

We have lost sight of what the United States is and we have lost sight of what the Church is, and we have lost sight of what our personal responsibility in all of this commotion is. And like the Blind Man we are encouraged and alarmed at what we hear around us. When a person cannot see with his physical nor his spiritual eyes there is a great deal of alarm and despair that is simply overwhelming. However, when the knowledge of the Lord of life is present a spark of encouragement is ignited because His Presence overwhelms any sense of discouragement that may be in the air.

Today, it is difficult to see clearly because we hear the attacks upon the institutions that we hold sacred in America. But what most do not understand is ‘why’. The history of England will open some doors to us. In the 1800’s there were many powerful pulpits in our Sister Nation. There was Samuel Rutherford, F.W. Robertson, Alexander Maclaren and a large host of others who were men who preached the innerancy of God’s Word and the Primacy of the Lordship of Christ and when the liberals began to step into those pulpits with their damnable words of the Social Gospel, these pulpits fell silent. Those massive structures of stone are all but empty today because of the doctrines that liberalism that were introduced. Not only did socialistic values encompass the churches, the political institutions soon followed.

The Christ is asking us, What do you want Me to do for you?" Each of us has ideas, and they sound simple, i.e. we must elect new officials beginning at the local level all the way up to the Halls of Congress. Easier said than done. However, there is a much better way that will change the direction of our Nation, and but ONE WAY. Christ is already in the process of moving large numbers of preachers who are committed to the inerrancy of God’s Word, a Biblical World View and Expository Preaching with the emphasis upon His Lordship in all things. This is what He is doing for us.

The Apostle John writes, “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'" For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” John 1:14-18.

“No one has seen God at any time: the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” Take note of the last four words here, “He has explained Him.” This is the paramount reason for trusting in the inerrancy of God’s Word and the Lordship of Christ. The Christ is explained completely in His Word and if anyone does not preach the fullness of the God’s Word, liberalism creeps in and floods pulpits. Liberalism, in turn, enters the minds of those who hear such untruth and therefore we end up with what we have politically, economically and worst of all, we have spiritually dead masses of people.

The battle for the hearts, minds and souls of every person will continue until Jesus comes. Until that day, The Believers must remain faithfully committed to evangelizing the world with the Name of Jesus as Lord.

Jesus is Lord
