What the World Needs Now

What the world needs now is not love sweet love, but Christians to Stand Tall in the Market Place of Life.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:18-25.

The World is in desperate need of Christians demonstrating God’s power in their lives that have been and are being transformed by Him. Evil exists everywhere whether it be demonic or personal. Christians are too often fearful of the manifestations of God’s power in their lives for fear of what peers might think. But there is also another issue that is always present, and that is whether or not the honor is rightly transferred to God and not falsely claimed as being personal. What must be understood as the Believer confronts evil is that the Power of the Cross must never be removed from the equation of Christian Victory. It is here that the God demonstrated His Power over Satan’s pathetic weakness and therefore the honor of victory is always His and not our own.

Unfortunately, Believers have been manipulated into the erroneous teaching that they have no rightful place in the Halls of Congress or on Main Street, USA. What we must not forget is the fact that God did anoint this Nation with His Presence and our Nation’s History records this. But Satan has been actively involved in removing the facts and emphasizing the lies in order to erode the foundations of history and destroy our heritage. We are where we are because of the sin of not believing truth.

Vv 21-23.

But Satan has not been content with the Halls of Congress and Main Street. His battles continue in the pews and pulpits or churches, too. Churches have become caldrons of bitterness, hate and disputes over minutia instead of the Bastions of God’s Power to take down the power of evil.

Often times battles are no longer about which side of the platform to put the piano, but rather if our worship is meeting the needs of the people rather than honoring God. We have exchanged His Glory for our own.

We are from God, having been born again by His Spirit. Those who believer otherwise are not of us and not of God. Because this is true we must be willing to confront this evil with the Power of God and not be ashamed of Whose we are. They will not listen to our Message because it belongs to God and as Paul writes,

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. 2 Timothy 1:12

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:1-6.
