Either You Are or You Are Not

Christians speak from the heart of Christ because it is He who lives in their hearts.

"For there is no good tree which produces bad fruit, nor, on the other hand, a bad tree which produces good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.” Luke 6:43-45.

“One is and one is not and that is the difference between a ‘real’ Christians and one who is not.” My question is, “Is that a ‘real’ horse or is it simply a mule?” Either the animal is a horse or it is not. The point is, a person is a Christian or is not a Christian. There is no such thing as a ‘real Christian’ as opposed to one who is simply a ‘Christian’. The idea of thinking like this is simply foolishness.

The Lord Jesus says it best,
"Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? "Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: he is like a man building a house who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great." Luke 6:46-49.

People are who they are, either they are Born Again or they are not. Nicodemus, no doubt, was shocked when he heard the Teacher say to him, "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." John 3:19-21.

Well, you are who you are. Either you are in Christ or you are not. You cannot be ‘real’ unless you are Born Again. Without the Christ you are simply unsaved and there is nothing more that can be said.

For Jesus is Lord
