The Impossible Made Possible by the Lord Jesus Christ

When one is born again in Jesus Christ the desire for spiritual growth is motivated by the Holy Spirit who resides in the heart of the Believer.

Since the law has [only] a shadow of the good things to come, and not the actual form of those realities, it can never perfect the worshipers by the same sacrifices they continually offer year after year. Otherwise, wouldn't they have stopped being offered, since the worshipers, once purified, would no longer have any consciousness of sins? But in the sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Therefore, as He was coming into the world, He said: You did not want sacrifice and offering, but You prepared a body for Me. You did not delight in whole burnt offerings and sin offerings. Then I said, "See, I have come—it is written about Me in the volume of the scroll—to do Your will, O God!" After He says above, You did not desire or delight in sacrifices and offerings, whole burnt offerings and sin offerings, (which are offered according to the law ), He then says, See, I have come to do Your will. He takes away the first to establish the second. By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. Hebrews 10:1-8.

Art Linkletter was famous for these words of wisdom, “Kids say the darndest things.” And everyone knows of another bit of wisdom that is known as a ‘misspeak’ or shall we say, ‘lie’, “I will get this done when I become your Representative, Governor or President.” Or what about this one, “I promise.” However, there is one statement that is true and upon which one can ‘hang his hat,’ “For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13-14.

The Bible tells us that
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Romans 8:2-4.

The person who is only a member of a local church is walking in the shadows of the truth because the Truth of God’s Word has not yet been accepted and believed. This individual really thinks that because a ‘Public Profession of Faith’ has been accomplished, walking through the Baptistry is done and church attendance is fulfilled Heaven is the next step. However, these things do not Salvation in Jesus Christ make…..Salvation in Jesus Christ is known by others because the effect of Salvation is seen at work and at play. Those who are spiritually minded will understand and know the difference.

We also speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people. But the natural man does not welcome what comes from God's Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to know it since it is evaluated spiritually. The spiritual person, however, can evaluate everything, yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone. 1 Corinthians 2:13-15. (HCSB)

For this reason alone, the person who is not born again is known by those who are. The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit gives the Spiritual Man the ability to evaluate those who are not spiritual.

“We also speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people. But the natural man does not welcome what comes from God's Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to know it since it is evaluated spiritually.” 1 Corinthians 2:13-14.

Those who are born again must be careful, very careful. It is easy for Christians to speak foolishly and without wisdom concerning spiritual matters . Evaluations must be done with care and with God’s Truth in hand and in Spirit.

For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God. But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, "LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD." 1 Corinthians 1:26-31.
