If you comprehend your god, that is not God…..
A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. Luke 6:40.
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-35.
For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT ABIDE BY ALL THINGS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW, TO PERFORM THEM." Galatians 3:10.
"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day." John 6:40.
The reality for many in the churches is that they are following every kind of instruction and have not found life in Christ because what they are following is not from Him. Because this is so, these people tend to follow statements of people who may be wise in their eyes but are fools in the eyes of God because they do not follow God.
For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe's people, that there are quarrels among you. Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ." Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 1 Corinthians 1:11-13.
Words of wisdom are found in the minds of people, but if these words are not in concert with God’s Word that will lead to destruction. For instance, Benjamin Franklin wrote that “truth does not stand on one leg but two”. I admire Benjamin Franklin, but what he wrote is not absolutely true, a word of wisdom, perhaps, but not total truth.
"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” John 16:13-14.
The sad truth is that most have refused the Truth of God and therefore live in sin and rebellion against the Him. We know this because of the evil that we are witnessing on a daily basis. There was a day that the activities that are so public now were hidden behind closed doors, but the power of sin and the evil desires of many have cause this to change dramatically. Believers in Jesus Christ are able to escape this activity.
For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. 2 Peter 1:3-4.
Only Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are able to escape the power of evil, not in their own wisdom and strength, but because of He who lives within. People will not believe every word that you speak in defense of the Gospel because their activities and traditions will not allow them to do so. Everyone you think is a Believer may not be and you can know this if they are ashamed to speak the Gospel Message publicly.
For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. 2 Timothy 1:12.
Jesus is Lord
