I Have Been Wondering

Meaning to your life truly has birth in the moment that you respond to the event close by.....

Texas Accidents Highlight Construction Zone Risks

How many of us heard about these vehicle accidents in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on the National News Networks??? This last week I witnessed the results of two very serious accidents on Interstate 40 in Tennessee and heard nothing on Fox News. How many Christian organizations have responded to any of these tragedies?

My simple questions are these:
· “Are we more involved with those events that are ‘news worthy’ than with those that are only ‘local events’.
· Do we concern ourselves only with the ‘uttermost parts of the world’ rahter than all of the other events that are taking place around us?
· Are those things that are only important to a few individuals important to all of us?

Certainly we must respond to such horrible events such as the Earthquake in Haiti, but are giving the same amount of energy to everyday events that are unfolding around us? I do not have the answer to that question, but I do believe that those tragedies that take place in Podunk, USA are just as important as the same kind of event that takes place in Podunk, Chile. Do we respond with equal energies? Are they less important? Or, are only politics moving such tragedies as the Quake in Haiti? I hope not.

Just a thought…….
